De dochter van de Kerstman maakt haar eerste uitstapje van de Noordpool tijdens het kerstseizoen in de hoop avontuur en liefde te vinden in het zonnige Californië. Terwijl de Kerstman zijn dochter in de gaten houdt door middel van een magische sneeuwbol, arriveert Annie in L.A. en wordt vrienden met de eigenaar van Candy Cane Inn, Lucy, en haar dochter, Mia. Ook neemt ze een baan aan bij Wonderland Toys. De eigenaar van Wonderland Toys, Ted, heeft moeite met zijn bedrijf staande te houden. Hij verkoopt immers ouderwets speelgoed in een digitale wereld. Annie realiseert zich dat ze wil dat Ted's bedrijf blijft bestaan omdat ze gevoelens heeft voor deze traditionalistische man.
